Mia – Inspiring the heart!

Theme : Journey from ‘OR’ to ‘AND’ Your story of how you took charge of life and made a choice, not a compromise. When you refused to choose one thing OR the other, and instead followed your heart. useyourand-blogadda This a story of a close one who stood up the odds and is a person of determination and inspiration to all the young ones out there. She could be the story of the neighbor, daughter, wife or someone you know walking across you. Here she is Mia to connect with you.
When Mia was born her parents were over whelmed with having a baby girl in their arms. Just as to every parent their child is special Mia was their favourite but being a year younger to all her batch mates she found it difficult to cope up with the pressure right since a little girl in school. Her parents were told by the principal that it was a mistake to admit her a year earlier cause she wasn’t mentally prepared to face the challenges that life has in store for it. But who were they to judge a little girls outlook and mental power for just being a year younger. She wouldn’t complete her homework and neither was actively a part of the class. She was all by herself cause her teachers thought she’s slow and not that she needed that extra care and attention. Somehow she fought the odds and coped up in school. She turned out to be the best anchor and an all rounder in sports and studies otherwise. Stood 1st in the SSC Exam on state level. Topped in another 2 subjects that everybody thought she was weak at. She was a matter of talk amongst her peers. But she was simply smiling as she met principal who once judged that the little Mia would “never cope up in life”. All those memories just flashed across. She went to the top most university college and graduated as a highly qualified engineer with a post in an MNC. Little things that make who you are!

Theme :  Things that define me

Every woman has some things that she is passionate about, things that make her who she is. Tell us about the things that are important to you, the multitude of things that make you who you are, because you can’t be limited by one label.

I am an IT Engineer by profession. I am deeply passionate about what I do from my studies to work to all the little things in between i do it whole – heartedly otherwise i don’t do it at all. If you don’t love what you do, you’re probably not going to be motivated to go above and beyond, to innovate and to stand out in the workplace. But if you’re passionate about your career, it will make putting time and effort into it pleasurable, not a chore.

I don’t believe in being perfect. Its wasting time and energy trying to be “perfect” that will only leads to unhappiness. We all know we can’t do everything well all the time. Beating yourself up for your perceived flaws will only dampen your abilities at work, not to mention your mental health. We each, if we’re lucky, will have our chance to leave a mark on the world, but we are trying too hard to be perfect. So don’t emulate Wonder Woman, think about what’s wonderful to you instead. Then boldly, audaciously, joyfully, leave the rest behind and see how it falls in place with immense satisfaction to the soul.

I am not afraid to take risks. There was a time i did but it just lead to even more disappointment and regret than i wish i would have. I realized it requires the ability to stop playing it safe every once in awhile and just don’t make reckless decisions, but know how to take a calculated amount of risk involved.

They know that their to-do lists will never be completed, and they’re okay with that. Sometimes you can be more productive by accepting that you’re simply not going to get everything done. Learning to let go of certain goals, responsibilities and tasks can be difficult, but freeing.

No woman’s success happens in a vacuum. Wildly successful women acknowledge those that support them every day — both in their home lives and at the office. And that graciousness not only makes them better people, but fosters loyalty from their employees.

The pressure put on women in today’s society is immense and I admire any female out there who won’t let the high demands and expectations get them down. In my experience, I have learned that we, as women, should not let the likes of “perfected” images or “criticism” affect us and It has came as such a relief to me to realize that being different and imperfect is far more interesting than being a “perfect” person. I believe that being yourself and feeling happy as yourself- just the way you are signifies the word “beauty.”

We were all blessed with voices to use them- so use them! I’m a relatively quiet person and a woman of not many words who next to never will indulge in small talk chit chat. It’s just who I am. However, on the other hand, when it comes to standing up for what I believe in or voicing my opinions on things, I never fail to make use of my voice. And neither shall you! Make use of what god has given you and say what you think, say what you believe in, and argue against what you don’t.

Living by your morals and values in life; inspires you, motivates you and energizes you for doing something significant in the world. As children, we were always being told to be a person of moral and were educated to understand what our values are. I think, when we grow older we seem to loose or forget about those crucial qualities and in order for us to be descent human beings, we should consider re-educating ourselves on morals and values.

Follow your heart…never give up…and you can do anything. We all have the ability to do whatever it is we want to do and fulfill any dream we want to fulfill; we just have to go and do it. When you find your passion in life, it creates a meaning in your life and gives you a purpose in the world: it generates happiness.
